Michel Théron et Stéphanie Destruhaut
Le Clos du Jaugueyron
Arsac, Bordeaux

The Clos du Jaugueyron estate is located in the heart of Arsac, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. It is composed of approximately 8 hectares of vines. It is with passion, but also with a lot of patience, that Michel and his wife Stéphanie have built up this vineyard in the midst of the Medoc’s great growths. The vines were found one by one thanks to the trust of landowners. The couple now has no less than 16 parcels in the Margaux and Haut-Médoc appellations.

Organic farming (certified in 2012) and biodynamic farming have progressively imposed themselves on all the parcels, through observation and the will to move towards wines that are closer to their terroir and more respectful of the harmonious functioning of the ecosystems. Graves and fine clays make up the terroir of the vineyard with a majority of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Always in search of pure and unadulterated wines for an elegant, controlled and very balanced result.
