TITULUS - PRIVACY POLICY

1. Why a Privacy Policy?

This Privacy Policy is directed to all visitors/users of our website, Titulus customer account holders, Titulus customers who purchase products online from our website and recipients of our newsletters (hereinafter “you”).

The purpose of our Privacy Policy is to inform you about the personal data we collect about you when you use our website or place an online order, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in this regard.

2. Who is responsible for the use of your data in connection with our services?

3. Why do we collect your personal data and on what basis?

We collect your personal data for various reasons. The table below lists precisely these reasons and the corresponding legal basis.

Dispute management

We process personal data to manage possible disputes in connection with the sale of our products.
The performance of a contract (Article 6.1.b), GDPR).

We also have a legitimate interest in processing data in order to defend our interests, in particular in the context of legal proceedings (Article 6.1.f) of the GDPR)
Statistics

We process personal data for statistical surveys or the production of statistical results, especially for the purpose of improving our websites, products and services.
We have a legitimate interest in processing data in order to improve the websites, products and services offered (Article 6.1.f) GDPR)
Marketing to our customers and non-customers.

In particular, we process personal data for sending newsletters and promotional offers.
We have a legitimate interest in processing customer data (including data obtained directly in the course of the sale of a product) with a view to informing them about products and promotions that may be of interest to them and to build loyalty/reengagement.

In accordance with article XII.13(1) of the Economic Law Code and the Royal Decree of April 4, 2003, we process, after obtaining prior consent, the electronic contact data of non-customers in order to inform them about products and promotions that may be of interest to them.

4. What personal data do we collect about you?

The personal data collected about you is collected directly from you and is processed based on the performance of the contract, our legitimate interest or your consent (as detailed under section 3 above).

The different categories of personal data collected are as follows:

  • personal identification data;
  • contact data;
  • financial, banking or transactional data;
  • data relating to your consumption behavior, your habits and your preferences related to the use you make of our products and services;
  • data relating to exchanges we have with you (e.g. questions about a product or service);
  • data relating to your opinions on our products, services or content; and
  • data relating to the follow-up of the commercial relationship.


Where personal data is required to be provided, the form will indicate this by an asterisk. If you do not provide us with this data, we will be unable to perform the requested service (in particular to follow up your order). Personal data not marked with an asterisk is sometimes requested. They are not mandatory and are simply intended to help us to know your preferences better and to offer you the service best adapted to them.

5. Is your personal data transferred abroad?

Your personal data may be transferred outside the European Union (for example for the hosting of our website), if so, this transfer is made to a country (or recipient) that provides an adequate level of protection, such as by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long do we keep your personal data?

The length of time we keep your personal data varies according to the different purposes of processing and possible legal obligations to keep certain data. These periods are listed below:

You have the following rights with respect to your data: right of access, right of rectification, right to erasure (right to be forgotten), right of opposition, right to limitation of processing, right to portability. You can also define directives relating to the conservation, deletion and communication of your personal data after your death.

8. Do we use cookies?

We may place cookies on your terminal via your Internet browser when you visit our website. They record information about your navigation on our website. This information will be read during your subsequent visits, with the aim of allowing your navigation of our website, simplifying it and your use of the services. The cookies used are the following:
