Testalonga Estate, aka El Bandito, located in Swartland, north of Cape Town, is owned by young winemaker Craig Hawkins. He began producing wine by renting vineyards for several years, having already made the choice of biodynamics. He refined his craft over the years and bought an old dilapidated farmhouse with his wife Carla and planted his first vines in 2014 on 11 acres of wasteland, where tea trees had been planted for a very long time.

This beautiful new playground will take Craig even further in his quest and will produce many vintages, all wonderfully crafted and in very different styles. He produces lively, vibrant and elegant natural wines where chenin, colombard, pinot noir, harslevelu, muscat, grenache, syrah…
